ABOUT
Hi! My name is Jaana. I'm a Finnish Karelian Canadian-born crafter. I specialize in high quality rag rugs hand crocheted from reclaimed cotton fabrics. I'm also an avid improv quilter and weaver. I love working with thoughtfully chosen reclaimed materials. I don't use commercial patterns--I design and create all my own products so that each item is truly one of a kind. My studio is located in an old piggery building (formerly The Piggery Gallery). I happily share my studio space with Katie's Schoolhouse and Stevenson Piano Studio. You can buy the things Katie and I love to make by shopping in person at our pop-up events. You can also find us at various shows and markets.

Welcome Katie!
Katie's Schoolhouse
I'm excited to share studio space in my old piggery building with Katie's Schoolhouse! Katie's Schoolhouse handicrafts are made by Katie Saunders in her 1900's Marlbank Ontario Schoolhouse. As a fibre artist Katie makes heirlooms from repurposed fabrics. Handmade stuffed animals, hand hooked art pieces and dioramas are inspired by the whimsy and imagination of children, and the child within. All items are made locally with repurposed fabrics and items that have been carefully chosen and created.

Piano Lessons with Luke!
Stevenson Piano Studio
The newest addition to share my studio space is Stevenson Piano Studio! Luke Stevenson offers private piano lessons with integrated music theory that cover Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) levels 1 - 8. Any age is welcome! Ladoga Studio & Stevenson Piano Studio are both located at 53 Wartman Road, Newburgh, ON. Drive 5km north from Newburgh Village along County Rd 27. Turn left to Hunt Road and then left to Wartman Road.
